Abel Systems becomes part of the family.

Abel Systems Ltd has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Wheelbase Engineering Ltd. The acquisition of Chesterfield based Abel Systems will not only enhance the groups flexibility in the provision of demountable systems and drawbar trailers, but importantly open up the opportunity to carry out chassis modifications that have previously taken place at Wheelbase Engineering on a more regional basis.

Within their ever increasing portfolio of products, Abel Systems can now include wheelbase extensions and reductions, plus the addition of mid lift and tag axles. Training to include other types of work is taking place, with the latest being braking and electrical system conversions for drawbar application.
